Another year is over, and quite a year it was, with excellent films and packed screening rooms.  We're all taking a week off, but we have posted the list of award winners.

What is the Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival?  It is a combination of film oriented panels, celebrity guests, new and classic independent feature and short film screenings, discussions, and our short film competition.  All that combined with the 30,000+ Dragon*Con attendees creates an extraordinary film event.

There will be plenty to do for anyone who enjoys film.  For filmmakers, this is a chance to show your film, meet others in the field, discuss the trials and tribulations of making a film, get some tips, and make some connections.  For film-lovers, you can hear some of the masters discuss their projects, watch the films entered in the  Film Festival, and then drop by a panel and hear the winning directors/producers discuss their films.

Film screenings and panels will mix, guaranteeing that you won't have a moment without something film-related to do.  I don't know how you'll fit in dinner (but don't worry, there are plenty of places to eat on the premises and near by). 

For 2008, The Independent Film Festival will run 4 days, Aug. 29 - Sep. 1, within Dragon*Con at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Atlanta Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.  It is America's largest annual convention for fans of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, Comics and Art, Games and Computers, Animation, Science, Music, Television and Film.  For Film Festival & Track attendees, that means you have access to all the activities and excitement of the convention.
